RUDOLFO ANAYA (author) - is an author and Professor Emeritus of English at the University of New Mexico. “Bless Me, Ultima” was his first novel and has sold over 1.5 million copies and been translated into many languages. In addition to winning the Premio Quinto Sol National Chicano Literary Award for “Bless Me, Ultima,” Anaya later won the PEN Center West Fiction Award for his novel “Alburquerque”. In 2001, he was awarded a National Medal of the Arts by President George W. Bush. In 2004, he received the Luis Leal Award for Distinction in Chicano/Latino Literature.
